Caldicot & Gloucester OLSC – Travel & Parking Information
This guide helps members plan travel to Gloucester and onward to Anfield, including parking, coach travel, and pre-match arrangements.
1. Travel to Gloucester:

By Car: From the South (e.g., Quedgeley/Bristol Road): Follow the A430 (Gloucester Quays area) and continue onto the A417 (St Oswalds Road), which leads directly toward the Estcourt Road roundabout.

From the East/M5 (J11/J11A): Take the A40 toward Gloucester. At the Elmbridge Court Roundabout, follow signs for the A38/Gloucester, which brings you onto the eastern end of Estcourt Road.

From the North (e.g., Longford/Tewkesbury): Travel south on the A38 (Tewkesbury Road) until you reach the major junction with Estcourt Road.

From the West: A48/A40 Approach Follow the A40 eastbound toward Gloucester.

By Train: Gloucester Railway Station connects to South Wales, Bristol, and London and is about a 20 minute walk to the pick-up location.
2. Parking Options

Free parking is available at the pick-up point on Estcourt Road.

This is a residential area, so please be mindful and considerate where you park. Don’t block drives and obey any parking restrictions.

Please keep noise to a minimum when returning late at night/early morning.
3. Coach Travel to Liverpool

For all our trips we use executive coaches provided by Bennetts.

Coaches include toilets, refreshments, and comfortable seating.

Coaches are usually accompanied by a Branch Committee Member.
4. Boarding Guidelines

Try to arrive 15 minutes before the departure time to avoid any unnecessary delays.

Refer to the seating plan in the travel email to find your allocated seat on the coach.
5. Pre-Match & Post-Match

Coach departure pick-up location and time confirmed before each trip; Coaches drop off near Anfield on Priory Road.

Pre-match drinks are popular at The Church and The Oakfield pubs, a short walk from Anfield.

Coaches depart from the same location on Priory Road after the match. Please return promptly after the final whistle.
6. Travel Tips

Check traffic updates before travel.

Check the weather and dress for comfort; bring rain gear if needed.

Snacks and drinks are allowed on the coach (No hot food).
